Friends of Pontoosuc is a community-based,
non-profit organization dedicated to preserving
the natural beauty and health of Pontoosuc Lake.
We welcome everyone to Pontoosuc Lake,
a wonderful community asset that needs to be protected, respected, and enjoyed by all.
Our mission is to safeguard water quality, protect lake wildlife,
and promote boating safety through active conservation, education, and public communication.
Currently, the lake faces several challenges,
including invasive weeds, fluctuating fish populations, climate change, water levels,
and securing local conservation and government board approvals.
Our lake needs our collective attention.
Friends of Pontoosuc aims to bring the community together.
Our goal is to collaborate to keep Pontoosuc Lake healthy
so the next generation can continue to enjoy its beauty and recreational activities.
